Galerie Gmurzynska is presenting an outstanding solo exhibition of Pop Art pioneer Marjorie Strider. Strider’s works often feature exaggerated curves and proportions, focusing the idealized female figures of the 1960s, which were presented in advertising and popular media. In addition to her paintings, Strider also created sculptures and collages. Her work often involved consumerism, sexuality and topics such as mass media culture. I love the color selection and strength of her works in addition to her play with female curves and proportions.
Galerie Gmurzynska presents Marjorie Strider in both its Zurich galleries, a broadened retrospective exhibition. You should not miss to see this.
The interior design by Dame Zaha Hadid underlines the appearence of the art presented. I absolutely love the form and elegance of her installations.
