The Buergenstock Resort was founded in the year 1871. In the 50’s and 60’s it was very famous amongst celebreties and socialites. Sophia Loren and her husband lived her for a certain time. Audrey Hepburn married here and Sir Sean Connery, Konrad Adenauer and Indira Gandhi used to take a bath in the pool on top of the Bürgenberg mountain already. The 102 rooms and suites, 7 Restaurants und 3 Bars, the golf course and the 10.000 square meter Alpine Spa all of them are on the highest level and latest technology. The view from here overlooking Lake Lucerne is just breath taking making it one of the most special places in Switzerland and in the world.
